The Natural Bodybuilding Secret Weapon

How does a natural bodybuilder compete against the likes of chemically
induced bodybuilding enthusiasts who grow like crazy? It is rather difficult! Steroid
induced athletes don't have to rely on sound training practices to get quick results. Natural bodybuilders do. Every little aspect of training and nutrition counts in a big way. Natural bodybuilders can't get awaywith what steroid induced athletes can.

That leaves us looking for the natural secret weapon to deliver quick results.
Such a natural weapon does exist, and it is call rest! Yes, I said rest. In order
for a natural athlete to maximize their full genetic potential in the shortest possible
time, optimal amount of rest is mandatory.

Steroid users can recover more quickly between workouts, thus, decreasing the rest time between training sessions. If a natural bodybuilder would try to mimic this schedule, severe overtraining, and a decrease in progress would surely result. As a matter of fact, ninety nine percent of steroid athletes even overtrain severely. Therefore, the natural bodybuilder needs to train smart and make sure they getting the optimal amount of muscle building rest.

Logic tell us more exercise should be better, but it is the exact opposite when it comes to highly productive natural bodybuilding science. Don't think more sets are better. Once you have stimulated the muscle growth mechanism by increasing the intensity from the last workout, your body now needs to rest and grow. That muscle growth mechanism trigger is often released with only one all out, high intensity set. Remember, the body grows while resting, not working out. Working out provides the stimulus to get the muscle growth process in high gear.

Rest is the most often overlooked, as well as the most common bodybuilding mistake. Athletes alike are not getting enough muscle recuperating rest between workouts to elicit maximum muscle growth. Instead, the are short circuiting the whole growth process, and not seeing the results they should. In order to determine is you are getting sufficient rest, keep a close eye on your workout rep and weight numbers. If they are staying the same or decreasing, you are not getting enough rest between workouts.
